Award Winning Images

Most photographers are members of a photographic association. These associations are a fantastic way of meeting other photographers, and they have many supportive groups and advice hubs. In addition they also have monthly competitions for every type of photography genre. Expert judges come together each moth to review the entries and use strict criteria to review and judge the entries.

Practice, Training & Awards!

2019 is a year of personal development for me and I hope to be able to track my progress through my success in competition entries. It gives me such a buzz knowing that the images that I take for my clients are of such a high standard that they have been deemed as such by expert judges.

In February I entered 3 images into the Guild of Photographers Image of The Month Competition. I am super proud and happy to have 2 of the images awarded a Bronze Bar. In a competition which has thousands of entries each month I can tell you that I’m feeling pretty chuffed with the result! A Bronze bar is only awarded to images of a strong standard in this national competition, so achieving these realist is pretty special.

This is the beginning of something special for my little business. You will see that I ask for more model calls this year. This will be specifically for photographs that i wish to take for competition entires, and therefore the session will be very different to my usual photoshoots. I have some many ideas of the images that I would like to create for competitions… I can’t wait to share them with you!

Here are a couple of my previous award winning images….

So watch this space…..

I will also be entering images into the Society of Photographers monthly competition and BANPAS Monthly Showcase. You never know, maybe an image of your baby could be an award winner!

In addition, look out for model calls. I will be looking for newborns, babies under 1 year old and some old children as models this year. Please do comment below if you would like your child or baby to be considered in the future and I will get in touch to explain how to apply for a model call.
