Home Lifestyle Newborn Photoshoots

Newborn Lifestyle Photoshoot

You’re finally home with your baby, getting to know each other, spending precious moments holding them close & breathing in their scent. Take your time, relax. There’s no rush to leave the house, just enjoy.

This time is so special. To be there with you and document the beginning of your journey is a huge honour for me.

This unobtrusive approach to a newborn photoshoot gives you relaxed, informal images of your interactions with your baby. In addition, baby can sleep, feed, cry or just chill as I photograph their tiny features, cute yawns and super stretches. If you prefer a less posed and informal photoshoot, in the comfort of your own home, then this is the right session for you.

FANTASTICALLY TALENTED

Fantastically talented & hardworking photographer. We had a newborn photo shoot with our 6-day old daughter & we were so impressed.

Louise created a lovely relaxed environment and worked entirely around feeding. Great experience & photos that we will treasure forever.

Around 1-2 weeks following the session, you will be invited back to the studio to view your gallery of approximately 20 beautiful images, expertly edited with fine detail retouching. This session offers you the opportunity to decide on the package that you may wish to purchase.

A session fee of £50 is payable to secure your booking. I offer a money back guarantee. Should you decide not to purchase any images, your session fee is fully refundable. WALL ART

In today’s digital era, we find more and more that we snap away taking photographs on our phone, maybe pop them on Facebook or ping the across to a relative and usually, they will then sit in your photostream, eventually being buried by hundreds more images. There’ll be some amazing memories in there, in amongst the screen shots, selfies taken by the kids and accidental pocket photo. But how often do you print your images? Phycologists claim that children who grow up in a home with images of themselves and other family members on display, grow up more confident. That can only be a good thing!

“I take the hassle out of displaying your images”

I source my wall art from professional print labs. Having produced the image and edited, I will then ensure that the colours you see, will look exactly the same when my lab prints and produces your wall art. Whats more, I’ll resize it to fit with your preferred size of wall art and help you decide which type of wall art will best suit your chosen images and your home. My suppliers use archival prints and products are coated with UV protection, meaning they’ll be around for generations.

Creating wall art yourself can be done through many online companies nowadays. By allowing me to organise your wall art, you’re handing over the stress of making sure it’s correct before hitting the purchase button.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my photoshoot?

I recommend booking a newborn photoshoot soon after your 20 week scan, however I can take bookings as early as 12 weeks. I get very booked up and hate having to disappoint clients that can’t book in. Clients who book at least 12 weeks ahead of their due date benefit from a 50% saving on their session fee with an early bird offer.

When does the photoshoot take place?

The photoshoot will be booked in for your due date initially. When baby arrives, please let me know and we will arrange the photoshoot to take place before baby reaches 21 days old. The photoshoots run from 1030 – 1300

How should I prepare for the photoshoot?

We will utilise a couple of rooms within your home, these primarily being your lounge, bedroom and the nursery if you have one. These rooms should be removed of any items that you would not wish to see in your images. In the bedroom, if you have a plain, light duvet cover, it would be good to have this ironed and on the bed in advance of the photoshoot. Light is key, so please have curtains and blinds open. Baby is usually best wearing a comfortable baby grow of your choice. I will bring along a selection of neutral wraps and blankets but will mainly be working with items from within your home. If you have a special blanket or item that you would like included please have this to hand.

Can my younger child/ren be involved?

Absolutely. The beauty of a home photoshoot is that siblings can play and come to have a photograph taken at their own pace. We will capture candid shots of them with baby as well as some relaxed posed images should they feel comfortable.

What should we wear for the photoshoot?

I recommend wearing light colours for the photoshoot, or colours which complement the colours within your home. As we will be photographing you sat in your living area and in the bedroom, choose colours that will work well here. It’s also important that your choice of clothing reflects the type of photoshoot. A home photoshoot is very relaxed and informal, design to capture you in your everyday life, so this should follow through with your choice of clothing.
