Little Sitter Photoshoot

As a baby photographer, I’m lucky to meet so many babies. I love every age for different reasons, however, photographing babies between the age of 6-9 months is super special. Without a doubt, this has got to be the most opportune time to have a professional photoshoot of your baby.

Cute dimples, the love of attention and eagerness to engage. They smile and show us their raspberry blowing, hand clapping & cheeky expressions and definitely love all of the attention at this age. And it makes for the most adorable of images too.

Documenting your baby’s first year may not seem important now, but as they grow old they will cherish looking at these photographs of themselves, and will feel super special seeing them displayed on the wall in your home

“We don’t remember the days, we remember the moments”

I would absolutely recommend Louise. We are delighted with our photographs! We also really enjoyed the photoshoot experience. Louise was great with our daughter, making her at ease and the whole experience was a joy. I loved Louise’s props and backdrops, and she was fab with getting Bella’s attention and capturing her facial expressions and reactions. We are genuinely struggling to pick the ones to print! They are all so brilliant – thank you Louise!

Around 1-2 weeks following the session, you will be invited back to the studio to view your gallery of approximately 20 beautiful images, expertly edited with fine detail retouching. This session offers you the opportunity to decide on the package that you may wish to purchase.

A session fee of £50 is payable to secure your booking. I offer a money back guarantee. Should you decide not to purchase any images, your session fee is fully refundable. If you do however decide that you love the images and wish to purchase a few images or prints rather than a package, due to the time involved in editing, processing print orders, images for USB’s and administration of your order, a minimum order amount of £199 applies.

In today’s digital era, we find more and more that we snap away taking photographs on our phone, maybe pop them on Facebook or ping the across to a relative and usually, they will then sit in your photostream, eventually being buried by hundreds more images. There’ll be some amazing memories in there, in amongst the screen shots, selfies taken by the kids and accidental pocket photo. But how often do you print your images? Phycologists claim that children who grow up in a home with images of themselves and other family members on display, grow up more confident. That can only be a good thing!

“I take the hassle out of displaying your images”

I source my wall art from professional print labs. Having produced the image and edited, I will then ensure that the colours you see, will look exactly the same when my lab prints and produces your wall art. Whats more, I’ll resize it to fit with your preferred size of wall art and help you decide which type of wall art will best suit your chosen images and your home. My suppliers use archival prints and products are coated with UV protection, meaning they’ll be around for generations.

Creating wall art yourself can be done through many online companies nowadays. By allowing me to organise your wall art, you’re handing over the stress of making sure it’s correct before hitting the purchase button.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my photoshoot

Little sitter photoshoots can be provisionally booked at your newborn photoshoot. Alternatively, if you baby has just mastered sitting up alone, give me a call and we can check for last minute availability.

When should the photoshoot take place?

These photoshoots work for babies that can sit up unaided for a prolonged period of time with no support. It’s also ideal if they can not yet crawl, however not essential. This is usually at around 6 – 8 months

How long does the photoshoot take

The photoshoot takes around 90 minutes. During this time I will aim to vary the images with 3 different styles.

What should I bring to the photoshoot?

At this age, babies are very engaged, but they also tire easily. Please bring snacks and a drink along, as well as a favourite toy which we can use to get their attention

Who can come along to the photoshoot

A photoshoot can be a little over whelming for a baby of this age if there are lots of people, in addition to the lights etc. I therefore recommend that we stick to both parents as a maximum or a parent plus one other adult. During the photoshoot, I ask that you sit behind me and allow me to speak to the baby and engage with them, to ensure that we have images of baby looking at the camera. It can be a little daunting for a small baby to have 3 people shouting and making funny noises, so I ask that you allow me to engage and I will give direction if I need an extra pair of hands to get their attention.
