Your Personal Data:

What we need

Louise Ferguson Photography will be the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. I collect basic personal data about you including name, address, email, telephone number, your due date and the actual date of birth of the baby or child for newborn & baby photography. In addition, I also hold images taken during your session which are also considered personal data.

Why I collect your data

I need your basic personal data in order to provide you with information about photography services in accordance with our contract. I will not collect any personal data from you that I do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.

What we do with your data

All the personal data I hold is processed by me alone in the UK however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the USA, which is where my website hosting & gallery management service is based.

No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law or our contract with you, allows them to do so.

I have a Data Protection Regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. More information on this can be found on our website.

How long I keep your data

I keep your images for the length of time agreed upon in our contract with you, after which time they will be deleted. Your information which I use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information. What I would also like to do with your data

I would like to use your name and email address to inform you of our future offers and similar products. This information is not shared with third parties and you can unsubscribe at any time via phone, email or our website. You will be sked to sign a document along with your contract to opt in or out of marketing

From time to time, I may use images taken at your session to enter into competitions or use towards a professional qualification. These will be shared with professional photography bodies who manage these processes. All of the professional bodies that I am affiliated with are GDPA Compliant. They are not permitted to share images outside of their membership group.

As standard procedure I ask for your permission to use images taken at your session, or perhaps video footage of your session within marketing material. This will be covered fully in a model release form which you will sign ahead of your session.

What are your rights?

If at any point you believe the information I process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how I have handled your personal data, you can contact Louise Ferguson at Louise who will investigate the matter.

If you are not satisfied with my response or believe I am not processing your personal data in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
